Family Birding: A Roots & Wings Festival Event

Travis Audubon and the Pease Park Conservancy are collaborating to offer a guided family-friendly walk designed with birding adults in mind—parents, grandparents, or caregivers—who want to enjoy birding without needing to leave the kids at home. While most bird walks require a quieter setting, this outing makes space for families to participate together. Following the walk, we’ll create our own birds using crafting materials at the Tudor Cottage!

Sound Bath in the Treehouse with ATX Yoga Girl

Nurture your mind and body while in nature with an immersive full body listening experience “bathing” in the vibrations emitted from Crystal Alchemy,  Crystal Quartz, and Tibetan bowls, plus the Earth, Water, Fire & Air Koshi chimes.

Unplug, slow down, and take a breath to pause alone or with the entire family. You will be lying down for this experience, so bring a mat or blanket to enjoy.

ACCESS TO THE TOP OF THE TREEHOUSE:
Please note that although the majority of our events are free, there is a $12 fee per person to access the top net at this event. This fee helps us cover the cost of the event and will help us manage attendance. This has proven to be one of our events with a larger attendance, and there is a 20-person limit to the number of people who can be on the net of the Treehouse. After paying the fee, please complete the registration form that follows.

ACCESS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE TREEHOUSE:
If you don’t wish to pay the fee, you can enjoy the listening experience for free in the bottom portion of the Treehouse or the grassy lawn. No registration is required for this.

MASS Ambient is a communal ambient music night centered around deep listening and relaxing. Come experience a beautiful tapestry of sound, color, and light brought to you by local artists and musicians. MASS Gallery is thrilled to work in collaboration with Pease Park Conservancy to activate the Treehouse for the ultimate listening experience. Come float with us, and bring your own blanket and pillow!

Golden Frequencies: Soundbath in the Treehouse ft. Sona Shala

As the sun sets and the year draws to a close, you’re invited to gather under the arms of the Treehouse for an immersive soundbath experience with Sonali Krish of Sona Shala. This evening will be a space to bask, breathe, and simply be—a moment to soften into the pause before the new year begins. With crystal bowls, grounding breathwork, and gentle nervous system support, this experience is designed to soothe, restore, and recalibrate.

Pease Park Conservancy’s Chief Operating Officer, who will retire at the end of March.

Chuck has been an integral part of the Conservancy since 2019, during which he has overseen the successful implementation of the award-winning Kingsbury Commons project, guided programming efforts, and stewarded the organization’s partnership with the City of Austin.

Spring Fling: Chuckstravaganza! will feature Chuck’s favorite things, from food, to drinks, and more.

PPC is excited to partner with the Violet Crown Players’ Diverse Space Youth Dance Company for an outdoor installment of their movement-based performance Confluence!

In honor of Martin Luther King Day, Pease Park Conservancy is hosting a donation drive for the Austin community! Bring nonperishable food items, period products, and diapers to be donated to a local food pantry and to Austin Diaper Bank to the Kingsbury Commons Picnic Tables between 12pm and 5pm. Thank you!

❄️ WEATHER UPDATE: Due to the cold weather we will be collecting donations at the Tudor Cottage and Terrace. Please drive up the hill, park at the striped “Event Designated Parking” spots, and PPC Staff/volunteers will collect your donation.
