What to Expect:
We will open the space with a series of qigong movements and breathwork to ground us into the moment. This will be followed by an ear acupuncture/ear seeds meditation. We will end with an optional share-out and Q&A over some tea.

The intention for this event is to provide a space to experience PEACE in a community setting. This medicine offering serves as a call for liberation of all people. We believe that having peace in our hearts, our minds, our people, and our environment is the beginning of the process towards liberation.

How to prepare:
Any attire is suitable for ear acupuncture- we just need access to your ears.

Stay hydrated

It is suggested to eat a meal beforehand

18+ age event, a parent is needed to sign consent form for people under 18 years of age

About PEACE Colectivo:
PEACE Colectivo is a collective of acupuncturists and herbalists working to promote health equity by bringing no-cost and low-cost acupuncture services to underserved and frontline communities in Austin. We believe strongly in the healing power of both community and acupuncture to help our people move from a place of surviving to a place of thriving. We strive to educate our communities about the benefits of East Asian medicine and create opportunities where people can experience these benefits without the barriers of language or socioeconomic status. Follow our work on Instagram @peace.colectivo

Getting To Kingsbury Commons:
We highly recommend alternate forms of transportation such as public transportation, walking, biking, ride-sharing or carpooling if this is an option for you. If driving make sure to arrive early enough to find parking as spots are limited. There is a small parking lot in front of Kingsbury Commons and street parking is available on Parkway between Kingsbury Street and Lamar Blvd.

Throughout the week, additional FREE parking is available at the Austin Recreation Center (1301 Shoal Creek Blvd) and on weekends between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm, FREE parking can also be found at the ACC Rio Grande Parking Garage (816 W. 12th Street). Both of these options connect to Pease Park by a 5-minute walk along the Shoal Creek Greenbelt Trail.

A note about Pease Park Conservancy's events: If you sign up, please make every effort to show up. Our events are free so all of our community members can attend. But we plan our events to be meaningful for the number of people who register to be there, so please make every effort to attend if you have registered.
