In 2021, the Kingsbury Commons renovation project was awarded Gold under the Sustainable SITES Initiative rating system.

That same year, Pease Park Conservancy received a Preservation Austin Merit Award for the rehabilitation of the Tudor Cottage.

Ten Eyck Landscape Architects and Pease Park Conservancy were awarded an Honor Award in recognition of outstanding professional achievement from American Society of Landscape Architects in April of 2022.

In 2022, Clayton Korte was awarded the 2022 Design Award of Merit by AIA Austin for their work on the Tudor Cottage & Terrace, restroom building, and volunteer hub in Kingsbury Commons.

Mell Lawrence Architects was awarded the 2022 Design Award of Excellence by AIA Austin for his work on the Pease Park Treehouse.

In 2023, Clayton Korte received an AIA 2023 Small Project Award for their designs at Kingsbury Commons.

In 2022, the Pease Park Treehouse was named Best of Austin: Kids & Family Wildcard in The Austin Chronicle!

Pease Park received the State level Texas Travel Award for best Park in 2023

Pease Park Historic Significance & Recognitions

Pease Park is a contributing element to the Old West Austin Historic District and forms the eastern boundary of the historic district. Many of Pease’s historic elements contribute to the designation; including the WPA picnic tables throughout the park, the stone walls along the Shoal Creek Trail and along Kingsbury, the West 24th Street bridge, both the upper and lower Shoal Creek bridges, and the West 29th Street bridge.

Pease Park Conservancy received the 2010 Mayor’s Award for Individual Environmental Achievement for our initial tree planting efforts.

In 2016, Pease Park was recognized by the Texas Recreation & Park Society as a Lone Star Legacy Park. This prestigious honor recognizes the cultural significance of Pease Park.

In December of 2017, Pease District Park was bestowed a State Antiquities Landmark by the Texas Historical Commission.
