Experience An Upcoming Event In The Park
Outdoor Education For All
presented by
Dr. Curtis Eckerman, Department Chair of Biology at Austin Community College, is a friend of Pease Park and an expert in moths. Each year he leads his students in moth studies in Kingsbury Commons and wishes to share this passion with others. He and his class will be stationed along the Eastern trail of Kingsbury Commons between 7:00 and 9:00pm. Stop by to learn about some of the species found within Pease Park and build community in conservation.
Travis Audubon and Pease Park Conservancy are teaming up to bring birding to Pease Park!
Join Chris Gunter and Nicole Netherton for a morning of birding at Pease Park during the spring migration period!
Have you been wondering what kind of tree is growing in your yard? Maybe you want to learn a fun new skill? Well, you're in luck, because the Central Texas Seed Savers and TreeFolks are coming to Pease Park to lead a Tree ID lesson to help you learn a little more about what's growing around you!
Folks of all ages can learn about the key characteristics that help differentiate one tree from another, and apply those skills afterward to help keep our urban ecosystem diverse and resilient.
We will gather on the lawn next to the big picnic tables right before heading out on the walk.
Thank you to H-E-B for supporting all of our educational programming events!
Health & Wellness in our Backyard
Join Cynthia Bernard, founder of ATX Yoga Girl LLC for our NEW bi-monthly kid’s yoga series!
We believe in supporting kids with their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This FREE Kid’s Yoga program is a unique heart-felt opportunity for youth ages 6-10 to connect with their peers, with themselves in a safe and supportive nature-based space. Drop-off is available but parent must remain on-site in case of emergency.
Pease Park Conservancy is happy to partner with Austin Youth Fitness to bring FREE youth fitness classes to Pease Park!
Join Austin Youth Fitness for a sample of their kids biking program! Bikers will become familiar with bicycle safety, learn the rules of the road, and will gain strength in their biking ability. For the Free Saturday event, participants will adventure from Pease Park down the Shoal Creek Trail approximately 1-2 miles, then back to the park for a fun finish! This is for experienced bikers ages 7 to 11, who can start, stop, and maneuver with control, and are comfortable going up and down hills. Participants will need their own bike and helmet.
Come stretch, breathe, move, dance, relax, create, and have FUN! These classes will include age-appropriate yoga and movement- including breathing, poses, games, stories, music, relaxation, meditation, and more.

public art, performance, music, and film
