Woodland Walk with Jill Nokes

  • Kingsbury Commons at Pease Park 1100 Kingsbury Street Austin, TX, 78703 United States (map)

Jill Nokes, a horticulturist specializing in native plants and an experienced conservation manager, will take us on a guided nature walk through the woodlands of Pease Park.

She will share the stories of the unique geology of the space, the trees that live here, and the native plants that we are always encouraging to thrive. Jill’s perspective on the natural world is informed by her depth of knowledge of the local ecology and she will inspire you to look at your surroundings in a brand new way!

Please note: This tour will require a walk of about a half mile and some of this will be on uneven terrain.

Getting to Pease Park: When you arrive please gather at the Picnic Tables in Kingsbury Commons. We highly recommend alternate forms of transportation such as public transportation, walking, biking, ride-sharing or carpooling if this is an option for you. If driving make sure to arrive early enough to find parking as spots are limited.

A note about Pease Park Conservancy's events: If you sign up, please make every effort to show up. Our events are free so all of our community members can attend. But we plan our events to be meaningful for the number of people who register to be there, so please make every effort to attend if you have registered. We understand things come up from time to time, but If you have registered we look forward to having you there! Thank you!

Thank you to H-E-B for supporting all of our educational programming events!
