Pease Park Conservancy is excited to partner with Austin Bat Cave for the Stories on the Go series! During this iteration, participants will be able to collect and swap books, visit the Bat Bus, and experience a unique performance.
This event is free, open to the public, and fun for all ages. Stories on the Go is supported by the City of Austin Creative Arts. All of Pease Park Conservancy’s children’s programming events are supported by H-E-B!
About Austin Bat Cave:
Founded in 2007, ABC works with young writers and artists ages 6 to 18 in Austin and the surrounding areas, including Del Valle, Manor, Elgin, San Marcos, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Hutto, and Round Rock. We provide programs in creative writing, journalism, college essay writing, resume writing, expressive journaling, and more. We strive to make our programs safe and accessible for all students, and prioritize partnerships with Title 1 schools and communities that have limited access to creative arts programming. With Austin’s rising housing costs and shifting demographics, we continue to adapt. In the past two years, ABC expanded its geographic reach to increase program equity and accessibility, activated youth civic engagement through op-ed programs, integrated therapeutic journaling into our programs, and provided monthly workshops for system-involved youth.

For parking and transportation information, please visit peasepark.org/parking. If you sign up, please make every effort to show up. Our events are free, so all of our community members can attend. But we plan our events to be meaningful for the number of people who register to be there, so please make every effort to attend if you have registered. We understand things come up from time to time, but if you have registered, we look forward to having you there! Thank you!
