Welcome to Wooten Woods
Walk north on the trail from Live Oak Meadow and you will find yourself surrounded by trees in Wooten Woods. This area of the park provides you with cooling shade as well as easy access to Shoal Creek when the water is low. Wooten Woods is an area of the park where your well-behaved dog can be off-leash. Off-leash dogs are allowed between 24th Street and 29th Street.
Detour in Wooten Woods
The northern part of the trail in Wooten Woods is currently closed due to a landslide, but follow the rocky steps to the low water crossing across Shoal Creek to access the trails next to Lamar Blvd. This is the best way to continue north to Gaston Green.
