Barring any more significant weather delays, construction at Kingsbury Commons in Pease Park should be completed over the next two months!
Starting next Wednesday, March 3rd, construction work will result in the temporary closure of:
The pedestrian bridge at 15th Street,
Access to the trail behind the construction trailer, and
The full length of the eastern trail from the pedestrian bridge on the south to the low-water crossing at the north end of Kingsbury Commons
These temporary closures are necessary to reinstall the parking lot curbing and pavement, as well as complete the installation of sidewalks and bicycle racks near the pedestrian bridge.
Construction around the pedestrian bridge should take about a week to ten days to complete, while the parking lot replacement will take about two weeks.
During this temporary closure, trail access will be diverted to the sidewalk along North Lamar Boulevard.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to complete this exciting project as quickly as possible! You can continue to follow project progress by following the link below.
