Dear Pease Park Community,
This is a scary time for our world, and we are reaching out to our close community to let you all know what steps Pease Park Conservancy is taking to ensure that we are helping to reduce the risk of COVID-19 to our community and flatten the curve.
As we all know, this situation is evolving rapidly, but we are paying close attention to the advice of health professionals, the CDC and the WHO. As stewards of a priceless public asset, we prioritize the health and well-being of our community and are committed to taking the necessary steps to ensure everyone’s safety. It is with a heavy heart that the following events and programming in the park have been cancelled:
Red Yarn Concert March 18th
PUBLIC PROPERTY Play March 28th
GenerationServe Volunteer Day April 11th
Pease & Love April 18th
Eeyore’s Birthday Party April 25th (Learn more from Friends of the Forest Foundation here)
All Volunteer Days until further notice
Pease Park Conservancy remains dedicated to the well-being of our community and we believe in finding peace and respite out in nature. With that in mind, Pease Park will remain open to the public and we encourage park-goers to spend some time out in nature. Please continue to practice the recommended health protocol by:
Frequently washing your hands for at least 20 seconds
Staying home if you feel unwell
Holding off on the handshake and opting for a nice elbow tap instead
Respecting personal space boundaries
Playing in the park, just not near anyone else
In the meantime, we hope that you continue to enjoy the park when able! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Pease Park Conservancy’s Director of Communications and Community Engagement, Casey Miller at Casey@peasepark.org.
Stay safe and wash your hands, friends!
