MLK Day Food Drive Supporting Central Texas Food Bank

Due to severe winter weather in the days leading up to MLK Day, the MLK Day Jr. Food Drive will now take place on Thursday, January 18th from 10:00am-5:00pm at the Tudor Cottage and Terrace.

In honor of Martin Luther King Day 2024, please bring donations to the Pease Park Conservancy MLK Day Food Drive supporting the Central Texas Food Bank! Feel free to bring extra cardboard boxes to make sorting and transporting easier.

Donate Supplies:
Conservancy staff and volunteers will be at the Tudor Cottage collecting donations between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm. Most needed items include:

  • peanut butter

  • canned chicken breast or tuna

  • canned low sodium vegetables

  • fruit in its own juice

  • dry pinto beans, brown rice

  • dry pasta

  • nonfat dry milk powder

  • 100% whole grain cereal

  • tomato sauce

  • canned tomatoes

  • canned entrees
