David Jimenez, a singer-songwriter from the Rio Grande Valley is hard to pin down.
Troubadour, soul man, guitar slinger and crooner can all be part of the same song with him. But whether it’s the pop melodies over roots R&B that is his solo project (The Last Jimenez) or the “Tejano soul” that pulls from the border town sounds of Deep South Texas is his band project (Nuevo), the common thread is soul.
