Join us in Gaston Green as we remove ragweed before it goes to seed and overtakes areas of the park.
Ragweed is a native but aggressive species found all over Central Texas. It grows and spreads quickly, taking up huge swaths of parkland and preventing other more desirable plants, such as pollinators and trees, from taking root.
Please bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated and wear comfortable weather-appropriate shoes and clothing that you do not mind getting dirty. We will provide all necessary materials, but you are welcome to bring your own gloves.
We highly encourage alternative modes of transportation, but if you do drive, please feel free to park in the dirt parking lot and meet our team on the lawn of the off-leash dog park.

A note about Pease Park Conservancy's events:
If you sign up, please make every effort to show up. Our events are free so all of our community members can attend. But we plan our events to be meaningful for the number of people who register to be there, so please make every effort to attend if you have registered. We understand things come up from time to time, but If you have registered we look forward to having you there! Thank you!
