It's My Park Day: Pease Plant a Tree

  • Kingsbury Commons 1100 Kingsbury Street Austin, TX, 78703 United States (map)

Hello and welcome to Pease Park. Today we will be planting native trees, native grasses, and native seeds on the Windsor hillside in Pease Park. This planting event is part of a larger, multi-year restoration project in the area where we are working to remove invasive plant species and replace them with native ones to better improve the biodiversity in the area, as well as create a more fit habitat for native wildlife.

Please bring with you a water bottle, closed toe shoes, and a good attitude!

Getting to Kingsbury Commons:
We highly recommend alternate forms of transportation such as public transportation, walking, biking, ride-sharing or carpooling if this is an option for you. If you drive please make sure to arrive early enough to find parking as spots are limited.

There is a small parking lot in front of Kingsbury Commons and street parking is available on Parkway between Kingsbury Street and Lamar Blvd.

Additional parking can be found at the Austin Recreation Center (1301 Shoal Creek Blvd). On weekends from 9am-6pm, you are also welcome to take advantage of the FREE garage parking at the ACC Rio Grande Parking Garage (816 W 12th St). Both of these options connect to Pease Park by a 5-minute walk along the Shoal Creek Greenbelt Trail.
