Shoal Creek Greenbelt Cleanup Scheduled

Pease Park Conservancy will host another post-Memorial Day flood clean-up event, with the focus this time on clearing debris and trash from the Shoal Creek Greenbelt and refurbishing the park trail running along the creek. Volunteers will meet at the dog park near Gaston Street and North Lamar Boulevard at 9 a.m., Saturday, June 13 and work until noon.

All ages are welcome to participate in the event. The Conservancy recommends that volunteers wear close-toed shoes and loose casual clothing for this clean-up event. Volunteers will receive Conservancy t-shirts in appreciation for their participation.

“I can’t express enough how much we appreciate everyone who devotes the time and energy to assist in our efforts to get Pease Park and the Greenbelt back into shape after last month’s devastating flood,” said Andy Gill, the Conservancy’s Executive Director. “It makes me feel proud to be a part of a community that cares so much about this precious recreational area in the heart of Austin.”
