Ixchel Granada has a Masters in Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University and a B.S. in Plant Biology from North Carolina State University.
Ixchel comes to us with 3 years in the private sector as Lead Designer at Yarrow Landscaping. In that capacity she utilized water-conscious designs and principles of sustainability in residential and commercial sites using a diverse planting palette with a rich array of textures, forms and wildlife function while creating a unique sense of place. Additionally, she specialized in playscapes for children based on the principles of nature-based play
Ixchel’s background includes being part of a team of environmental coordinators completing environmental assessments for the Lower Colorado River Authority, fostering volunteer relationships with her work at Keep Austin Beautiful and additionally, she has worked with the Honduras Conservation Corps in her native country, rebuilding watersheds, revegetating riparian zones, and stabilizing soils with a team of international volunteers.
Ixchel applies her diverse skill sets to the team with joy, creativity and a sense of purpose.
