Meet the Kingsbury Commons Crew

The renovation of Kingsbury Commons - the recreational heart and cultural soul of Pease Park - is nearly complete and we will soon introduce the masterfully crafted amenities to the Austin community.

Historic features, like the Tudor Cottage and the New Deal era picnic tables, have been maintained and restored to highlight their historical significance. Other features, like the playscapes and the interactive water feature, have been made new to fold nature into the park-goers' play experiences. And new, innovative structures have been added, like the unique Treehouse, providing visitors with the opportunity to gather with one another while being immersed in the outdoors.

This incredible transformation would not have been possible without the work of the crew members who contributed their expertise to this project.

Nearly 700 people worked at the construction site in the last 14 months to contribute their skills, and that collective effort transformed Kingsbury Commons into a beautiful space that can be enjoyed by all. We are grateful to all who contributed to the success of this project. Learn more about some of those crew members on our Meet the Crew page here.
